About
Hello! I’m Eldon Sarte, site publisher and writer of much of the original non-bylined content here (all other content contributions are attributed and credited accordingly); that’s my brand new son Daniel pictured on the left.
There’s really only one simple reason why I decided to build and run ToyFlashback… it’s fun! Unless playtime was traumatic for you, reminiscing about old toys is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!
OK, as far what you’ll find here on ToyFlashback, here’s the current plan (obviously subject to my whim and fancy):
• Look up to the upper right corner of the page; you’ll find a menu to The Toys, our brand new but slowly growing database of retro toy pages. I’ll start by adding pages and info on toys I know (mine, obviously, and those I coveted). I’ll be adding continuously to this as we progress; since I wasn’t exactly Richie Rich, most of the toys that’ll end up here I’ll know next to nothing about and will have to do some research and legwork to do their write ups… or rely on editorial contributors.
Suggestions from you on what toys to add to the list are more than welcome. And so are any comments, memories, feedback and any additional technical and other details on any toys already in the database — just add your comments to the bottom of the toy’s page.
• Periodically, I’ll be posting related articles (general toy information and histories, toy collecting, restoring, etc. etc. etc.). If you subscribe to our free Feedblitz email feed or add our RSS feed to your newsreader, you’ll be kept up-to-date automatically on every new article and content addition to the site! Use the subscription form/links that appear on the sidebar on the right.
And that pretty much fills up the proverbial plate for now. Welcome, hang around, enjoy and stay tuned!
